It is narrated from Sa’d bin Hisham that he said to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): I want to ask you about abstinence (tabattul); what is your opinion about it? She said: Do not do so. Have you not heard the statement of Allah Almighty:“And indeed We sent Messengers before you and appointed for them wives and offspring.”Therefore, avoid abstinence. Then he went out, having acquired understanding and jurisprudence, then he went to Basra, and after staying there for some time, he went towards the land of Makran, and there, while performing the best of deeds, he was martyred.
