It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Surmah Mazni and Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Khudri, may Allah be pleased with them both, they say: We obtained captives in the Battle of Banu Mustaliq, this is the same battle in which the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, obtained Sayyida Juwayriya, may Allah be pleased with her. Some among us wanted to take wives, and some intended to have intercourse with the slave women and then sell them, so we discussed the matter of withdrawal (azl) and mentioned this to the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If you do not practice withdrawal, there is no harm upon you, because Allah Almighty has already determined whatever He is going to create until the Day of Judgment.
