(Second chain) Roasted goat meat was prepared for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and brought to him. Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me,“O Abu Rafi’! Hand me the foreleg.”I handed it to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“O Abu Rafi’! Hand me another foreleg.”I handed that to him as well. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“O Abu Rafi’! Hand me another foreleg.”I said,“O Messenger of Allah! A goat has only two forelegs.”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,“If you had remained silent, you would have continued handing me forelegs as long as I kept asking.”In fact, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was very fond of the meat from the foreleg.
