باب ما جاء فى التسمية والذبح لغير الله
Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding Mentioning Allah’s Name and Slaughtering for Other Than Allah
Hadith Number: 7601
عن عدي بن حاتم رضي الله عنه قال سالت النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم عن الصيد اصيده قال انهروا الدم بما شئتم واذكروا اسم الله وكلوا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about hunting, which I hunt (but I do not have any tool with which I can slaughter it), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shed its blood with whatever you wish, and mention the name of Allah over it, and eat it.
