Chapter on the Description of Ghusl and Ablution Before It
Hadith Number: 881
عن جبير بن مطعم رضي الله عنه قال: تذاكرنا غسل الجنابة عند النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فقال: ((اما انا فآخذ ملء كفي ثلاثا فاصب على راسي ثم افيضه بعد على سائر جسدي))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We mentioned the ritual bath of janabah in the presence of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My practice is that I take three handfuls of water with both palms and pour it over my head, and then I pour water over the rest of my body.
