باب فى الترغيب فى خصال مجتمعة من أفضل أعمال البر والنهي عن ضدها
Chapter on encouragement towards combined qualities from the best of righteous deeds and prohibition of their opposites
Hadith Number: 8974
وعن درة بنت ابي لهب رضي الله عنها قالت قام رجل إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم وهو على المنبر فقال يا رسول الله اي الناس خير فقال صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم خير الناس اقرؤهم واتقاهم وآمرهم بالمعروف وانهاهم عن المنكر واوصلهم للرحم
It is narrated from Sayyida Durrah bint Abi Lahab (may Allah be pleased with her), she says that a man stood up and came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was on the pulpit, and he said: O Messenger of Allah! Which people are the best? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best among the people is the one who recites the most, fears the most, commands the most good, forbids the most evil, and maintains the most ties of kinship.
