Chapter on what has been narrated regarding warning against major sins combined and the threat for their doers
Hadith Number: 9681
عن سلمة بن قيس الاشجعي رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم في حجة الوداع الا إنما هن اربع ان لا تشركوا بالله شيئا ولا تقتلوا النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق ولا تزنوا ولا تسرقوا قال فما انا باشح عليهن مني إذا سمعتهن من رسول الله
Sayyiduna Salamah bin Qais Ashja'i (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said during the Farewell Pilgrimage: Beware! There are only four things: That you do not associate partners with Allah, do not kill a soul which Allah has forbidden except with due right, do not commit adultery, and do not steal. Then Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I am the most eager regarding them, because I myself heard them from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
