Chapter on what has been narrated regarding warning against splitting speech and being pretentious in it, and what has been narrated regarding eloquence in speech
Hadith Number: 9929
عن معاوية رضي الله عنه قال لعن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم الذين يشققون الكلام تشقيق الشعر
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed those people who extract fine points in speech like the splitting of hair.
