الآية (43) قوله تعالى: {عفا الله عنك لم أذنت لهم حتى يتبين لك الذين صدقوا وتعلم الكاذبين}
Verse (43) His saying, Exalted is He: {May Allah pardon you, [O Muhammad]; why did you give them permission [to remain behind] until it was clear to you who were truthful and you knew the liars?}
Hadith Number: 1017
نا سفيان ، عن عمرو بن دينار ، قال: سمعت عمرو بن ميمون الاودي ، يقول: " اثنتان فعلهما رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ولم يؤمر بهما: إذنه للمنافقين، واخذه من الاسارى , حتى انزل الله عز وجل: عفا الله عنك لم اذنت لهم سورة التوبة آية 43 و ما كان لنبي ان يكون له اسرى سورة الانفال آية 67" .
Amr bin Maymun al-Awdi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: There are two things which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did, although he had not been commanded to do them: granting permission to the hypocrites and taking captives, until Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: ﴿‘May Allah pardon you! Why did you grant them leave?”﴾, and ﴿‘It is not for a prophet to have captives’﴾.
