Hadith Number: 2183
نا سفيان، قال: سمعت فضيلا الرقاشي، منذ ستين سنة، قال: كتب عمر بن عبد العزيز إلى عدي بن ارطاة: سل الحسن بن ابي الحسن: لم اقر سلف المسلمين نكاح الاخوات والامهات؟ فقال الحسن:" لان العلاء بن الحضرمي لما قدم البحرين ترك الناس على هذا" .
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When Alaa bin Hadrami came to Bahrain, he allowed the people there to continue marrying their sisters and mothers, and for this reason the predecessors maintained this marriage."
