Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you hear the crowing of a rooster, it has seen an angel, so ask Allah from His bounty at that time and turn towards Him with desire. And when you hear the braying of a donkey, it has seen a devil. At that time, seek refuge with Allah from its evil, that which it (the donkey) has seen (i.e., the devil)."
