ذكر الإخبار عن إباحة جواب المرء بالكناية عما يسأل وإن كان في تلك الحالة مدحه-
Permissibility of answering with indirect speech, even if it includes self-praise
Hadith Number: 101
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا مسلم بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا قرة بن خالد ، عن عمرو بن دينار ، عن جابر بن عبد الله ، قال: بينما النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقسم غنيمة بالجعرانة، إذ قال له رجل: اعدل، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" يا ويلي! لقد شقيت إن لم اعدل" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was distributing the spoils of war at "Ji‘ranah." A man requested him: "Be just in your dealings." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) replied: "Alas! If I do not act justly, then I would be most unfortunate."
