فصل في قيام الليل - ذكر استحباب الإكثار من صلاة الليل رجاء لمصادفة الساعة التي يستجاب فيها دعاء المرء في كل ليلة
Section on night prayer – mentioning the recommendation to increase night prayer in hopes of catching the hour when supplications are answered
Hadith Number: 2561
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، حدثنا ابو خيثمة زهير بن حرب ، حدثنا جرير ، عن الاعمش ، عن ابي سفيان ، عن جابر ، قال: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " في الليل ساعة لا يوافقها رجل مسلم يسال الله خيرا من الدنيا والآخرة، إلا اعطاه إياه" .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "There is an hour during the night in which, if any Muslim servant asks Allah Almighty for any good of this world or the Hereafter, Allah Almighty will grant it to him."
