باب ما جاء في الطاعات وثوابها - ذكر البيان بأن الله جل وعلا يثني على من يحبه من المسلمين بأضعاف عمله من الخير والشر
Chapter on Acts of Obedience and Their Rewards – Allah praises those He loves among Muslims far beyond their good or bad deeds.
Hadith Number: 368
اخبرنا علي بن سعيد العسكري ، قال: حدثنا ابو نشيط محمد بن هارون ، قال: حدثنا المقرئ ، عن حيوة بن شريح ، قال: حدثنا سالم بن غيلان ، قال: سمعت ابا السمح ، عن ابي الهيثم ، عن ابي سعيد الخدري ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" إن الله إذا احب عبدا، اثنى عليه، بسبعة اضعاف من الخير لم يعملها، وإذا سخط على عبد اثنى عليه بسبعة اضعاف من الشر لم يعملها" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, when Allah Almighty loves a servant, He praises him with seven thousand virtues which that servant has not even committed, and when He is displeased with a servant, He mentions him with seven thousand evils which that person has not committed."
