باب الإحرام - ذكر الإباحة للحاج أن يهل بإهلال أخيه وإن لم يسمع إهلاله بأذنه بعد أن يعلم أن ذلك بعده
Ihram - Permission for a pilgrim to assume ihram with the intention of another if he knows of it, even if he did not hear it directly
Hadith Number: 3776
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن السامي ، قال: حدثنا احمد بن حنبل ، قال: حدثنا بهز بن اسد ، قال: حدثنا سليم بن حيان ، قال: سمعت مروان الاصفر يحدث، عن انس بن مالك ، ان عليا قدم من اليمن، فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" بم اهللت؟"، قال: اهللت بما اهل به نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" فإني لولا ان معي الهدي لحللت" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) returned from Yemen. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him: "What intention did you make for Ihram?" He replied: "I made the same Ihram as the Messenger of Allah made." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If I had a sacrificial animal with me, I would have come out of Ihram."
