Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The one who looks after widows and poor people is like the one who fights in the way of Allah.”(The narrator says:) I think these words are also in the narration:“Like the one who fasts continuously without breaking his fast, and like the one who stands in prayer without sleeping.”(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named Abu’l-Ghaith’s name is Salim, the freed slave of Ibn Muti’. This has been stated by the Shaykh.
