Chapter on Parents’ Rights – Preferring to excel in honoring one’s mother over one’s father unless she demands sin.
Hadith Number: 434
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: انبانا جرير ، عن عمارة بن القعقاع ، عن ابي زرعة ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال" جاء رجل إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: من احق الناس بحسن صحبتي؟ قال:" امك"، فقال: ثم من؟ قال:" امك"، قال: ثم من؟ قال:" امك"، قال: ثم من؟ قال:" ابوك" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He asked: Who is most deserving of my good conduct? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your mother. He asked: Then who? He said: Your mother. He asked: Then who? He said: Your mother. He asked: Then who? He said: Your father.
