ذكر الإباحة للمرء الوفاء بنذر تقدم منه في الجاهلية-
Permissibility to fulfill a vow made during the pre-Islamic period
Hadith Number: 4379
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان ، عن عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، ان عمر نذر ان يعتكف ليلة في المسجد الحرام في الجاهلية، فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اوف بنذرك" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had made a vow during the days of ignorance that he would perform i'tikaf for one night in Masjid al-Haram. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Fulfill your vow.
