باب في الخلافة والإمارة - ذكر ما يكون متعقب الإمارة في القيامة إذا حرص عليها في الدنيا-
Chapter on Caliphate and Leadership – What awaits those who pursue leadership on the Day of Judgment if they were eager for it in this world
Hadith Number: 4482
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا حبان ، قال: اخبرنا عبد الله ، عن ابن ابي ذئب ، عن المقبري ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " إنكم ستحرصون على الإمارة، وإنها ستكون ندامة وحسرة يوم القيامة، فنعمت المرضعة، وبئست الفاطمة" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Soon you will covet governmental positions, and on the Day of Resurrection, this will be a cause of regret and remorse. So, the one who gives milk is considered good, and the one who weans is considered bad."
