Chapter on Caliphate and Leadership - On the report that Allah will question every leader about those under his care
Hadith Number: 4492
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان الشيباني ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم الحنظلي ، قال: اخبرنا معاذ بن هشام ، قال: حدثني ابي ، عن قتادة ، عن انس ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" إن الله سائل كل راع عما استرعاه: احفظ ام ضيع" .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Indeed, Allah Almighty will take account from every guardian regarding his guardianship—whether he protected it or neglected it."
