Hadith Number: 4642
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some people asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), they said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you have any difficulty in seeing the moon on the night of the fourteenth when there are no clouds? The people replied: No, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you have any difficulty in seeing the sun at noon when there are no clouds? The people replied: No, O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, you will have no difficulty in seeing your Lord just as you have no difficulty in seeing these two.
A servant will be presented (before his Lord), and the Lord will say: O so-and-so, did I not honor you? Did I not make you a leader? Did I not get you married? Did I not subjugate horses and camels for you? Did I not bestow upon you all kinds of blessings? The servant will reply: Yes, my Lord (all this happened). The Lord will say: Did you believe that you would meet Me? He will reply: No, my Lord! So the Lord will say: Today I forget you just as you forgot Me.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then another person will be presented, and the Lord will say: Did I not honor you? Did I not make you a leader? Did I not get you married? Did I not subjugate horses and camels for you? Did I not grant you abundance and prosperity? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That servant will reply: Yes, O my Lord! The Lord will ask: Did you believe that you would meet Me? The servant will reply: No, O my Lord! So the Lord will say: I forget you just as you forgot Me.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then a third person will be presented, and the Lord will ask: Who are you? He will reply: I am Your servant, I believed in You, in Your Prophet, in Your Books, I fasted, I prayed, I gave charity, and he will mention all the good deeds he can. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It will be said to this person: Did We not send a witness over you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That person will think in his mind: Who can testify against me? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then a seal will be set upon his mouth, and it will be said to his thighs: Speak! So his thigh, his flesh, and his bones will speak about what he used to do. This will be a hypocrite person, so that he cannot present any excuse from his side, and so that Allah may express His anger upon him.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then a caller will announce: Every group should follow what they used to worship. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: So those who worshipped the devils will go after the devils. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Jews and Christians will go with their leaders towards Hell. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then only the believers will remain. O people of faith! Then we will remain, our Lord will come to us, He will be our Lord, He will say: For whom are you standing? The servants will reply: We are the servants who believe in Allah, we worship Him, He is our Lord, He will come to us and grant us reward, we are standing right here.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then the Lord will say: I am your Lord, you may proceed. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then the Bridge (Sirat) will be placed, upon which there will be hooks made of fire that will snatch people. At that place, permission for intercession will be granted (and I will supplicate): "O Allah! Grant safety, O Allah! Grant safety." When a person crosses this bridge, then everyone who gave a pair of anything from his wealth in the way of Allah, the gatekeepers of Paradise will call him: O servant of Allah, O Muslim, this is goodness. He will be told: O servant of Allah, O Muslim, this is goodness.
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Will there be any harm to a person if he leaves one gate and enters from another? The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) struck his shoulder and said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, I hope you will be among those people." The narrator named Abdul Jabbar says: The narrator named Sufyan dictated this narration to me.
