Section on Torture – On the prohibition of using living creatures as targets
Hadith Number: 5608
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا ابو الوليد ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، عن عدي بن ثابت ، عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لا تتخذوا شيئا فيه الروح، غرضا" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Do not make any living being a target (for shooting practice)."
