Chapter on Humility, Arrogance, and Conceit – On the obligation of Hellfire for the arrogant unless Allah forgives
Hadith Number: 5679
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم المروزي ، قال: اخبرنا النضر بن شميل ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، حدثنا معبد بن خالد ، انه سمع حارثة بن وهب الخزاعي ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " الا ادلكم على اهل الجنة، كل ضعيف متضعف، لو اقسم على الله لابره، واهل النار كل مستكبر جواظ" .
Sayyiduna Haritha bin Wahb Khuzai (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Shall I not guide you to the people of Paradise? Every weak and poor person (is among the people of Paradise); if he swears by Allah's name, Allah fulfills it for him. And every arrogant and harsh-tempered person is among the people of Hell."
