Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing in Baqi‘ when a man called out loudly to another:“O Abu al-Qasim!”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards him, so the man said:“O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I did not call you, I called so-and-so.”The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Name yourselves after my name, but do not take my kunyah.”
