Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say:“It is not permissible to sacrifice four types of animals: one-eyed whose defect is obvious, lame whose lameness is obvious, sick whose sickness is obvious, and such a weak animal that there is no marrow in its bones.”

(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) This narration has been transmitted from Amr bin Harith on the authority of Imam Malik, and he has made a mistake in it because he did not mention Sulaiman bin Abdur Rahman in its chain of narration.
