Virtue of the Mujahid (Fighter in Allah’s Path)
Hadith Number: 552
345- وبه: ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”مثل المجاهد فى سبيل الله كمثل الصائم القائم الدائم الذى لا يفتر من صلاة ولا من صيام حتى يرجع.“
And with the same chain of narration, it is narrated (from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The example of the one who strives in the path of Allah is like that of a person who continuously fasts without any break and always performs prayer until the warrior returns (to his home)."
تخریج الحدیث: «345- الموطأ (رواية يحييٰي بن يحييٰي 443/2 ح 986، ك 21 ب 1 ح 1) التمهيد 302/18، الاستذكار: 925، وأخرجه أحمد (465/2 ح 1001) من حديث مالك به تفرد به دون السته.»
قال الشيخ زبير على زئي:سنده صحيح
