باب ما جاء فى أن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يتختم فى يمينه
Chapter: What has been reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to wear the ring on his right hand
Where the ring’s stone should be
Hadith Number: 100
حدثنا محمد بن ابي عمر قال: حدثنا سفيان، عن ايوب بن موسى، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر: «ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم اتخذ خاتما من فضة، وجعل فصه مما يلي كفه، ونقش فيه محمد رسول الله، ونهى ان ينقش احد عليه» وهو الذي سقط من معيقيب في بئر اريس
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a ring made of silver, and its stone was set towards the palm. On it was engraved "Muhammad Rasul Allah" (Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah). He (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade everyone from engraving the same inscription. And this was the same ring that fell from Sayyiduna Mu'ayqib (may Allah be pleased with him) into the well of Aris.
