Chapter: What has been reported concerning the description of the armor of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
The Prophet used armor
Hadith Number: 109
حدثنا ابو سعيد عبد الله بن سعيد الاشج قال: حدثنا يونس بن بكير، عن محمد بن إسحاق، عن يحيى بن عباد بن عبد الله بن الزبير، عن ابيه، عن جده عبد الله بن الزبير، عن الزبير بن العوام قال: كان على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم احد درعان، فنهض إلى الصخرة فلم يستطع، فاقعد طلحة تحته، وصعد النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم حتى استوى على الصخرة قال: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: «اوجب طلحة»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wore two coats of armor. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to climb a rock, but he was unable to climb it. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) sit below, and (standing on him) climbed straight up the rock. Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Talhah has made Paradise obligatory for himself."

«سنن ترمذي، ح 1692، وقال: حسن غريب، 3738 . البحرالزخارللبزار 188/3 ح 927 . مسند ابي يعليٰ (33/2، ح 670 وابن اسحاق صرح بالسماع عنده فى الرواية المختصرة) . صحيح ابن حبان (الموارد:2212) . و صححه الحاكم (25/3، 373.374) . ووافقه الذهبي»
