Chapter: What has been reported concerning the description of the lower garment of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
The Prophet’s cloak was patched
Hadith Number: 118
حدثنا احمد بن منيع قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن إبراهيم قال: حدثنا ايوب، عن حميد بن هلال، عن ابي بردة قال: اخرجت إلينا عائشة، كساء ملبدا وإزارا غليظا، فقالت: «قبض روح رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في هذين»
Sayyiduna Abu Burdah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his respected father (Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) showed us a patched cloak and a coarse lower garment and said: In these two, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away.
