باب ما جاء في كحل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
Chapter: What has been reported concerning the kohl of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
Use Antimony (Ithmid) Kohl
Hadith Number: 50
حدثنا محمد بن حميد الرازي قال: حدثنا ابو داود الطيالسي، عن عباد بن منصور، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «اكتحلوا بالإثمد فإنه يجلو البصر، وينبت الشعر» وزعم «ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كانت له مكحلة يكتحل منها كل ليلة ثلاثة في هذه، وثلاثة في هذه»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: Indeed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should apply antimony (ithmid) kohl, for it sharpens the eyesight and grows (the eyelashes') hair." Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) believes that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a kohl container, from which he would apply three strokes in one blessed eye and three strokes in the other blessed eye every night.
تخریج الحدیث: { «سندہ ضعیف» }:
«(سنن ترمذي: 1757)، (سنن ابن ماجه: 3499)»
اس روایت کی سند دو وجہ سے ضعیف ہے:
➊ عباد بن منصور جمہور محدثین کے نزدیک ضعیف راوی ہے۔
➋ عباد بن منصور مدلس تھا۔ دیکھئیے طبقات المدلسین (121/4 طبقہ رابعہ)

اس روایت کی سند دو وجہ سے ضعیف ہے:
➊ عباد بن منصور جمہور محدثین کے نزدیک ضعیف راوی ہے۔
➋ عباد بن منصور مدلس تھا۔ دیکھئیے طبقات المدلسین (121/4 طبقہ رابعہ)
