The Book of Belief (Faith)
باب من الدين الفرار من الفتن:
(12) Chapter. To flee (run away) from Al-Fitn (afflictions and trials), is a part of religion.
Hadith Number: 19
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة، عن مالك، عن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن ابي صعصعة، عن ابيه، عن ابي سعيد الخدري، انه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" يوشك ان يكون خير مال المسلم غنم، يتبع بها شعف الجبال ومواقع القطر، يفر بدينه من الفتن".
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri: Allah's Apostle said, "A time will come that the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take on the top of mountains and the places of rainfall (valleys) so as to flee with his religion from afflictions."

Hadith Number: 3300
حدثنا إسماعيل بن ابي اويس، قال: حدثني مالك، عن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن ابي صعصعة، عن ابيه، عن ابي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" يوشك ان يكون خير مال الرجل غنم يتبع بها شعف الجبال، ومواقع القطر يفر بدينه من الفتن".
Narrated Abu Sa`id al-Khudri: Allah's Apostle said, "There will come a time when the best property of a man will be sheep which he will graze on the tops of mountains and the places where rain falls (i.e. pastures) escaping to protect his religion from afflictions."

Hadith Number: 3495
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا المغيرة، عن ابي الزناد، عن الاعرج، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" الناس تبع لقريش في هذا الشان مسلمهم تبع لمسلمهم وكافرهم تبع لكافرهم.
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The tribe of Quraish has precedence over the people in this connection (i.e the right of ruling). The Muslims follow the Muslims amongst them, and the infidels follow the infidels amongst them.

Hadith Number: 3600
حدثنا ابو نعيم، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن ابي سلمة بن الماجشون، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي صعصعة، عن ابيه، عن ابي سعيد الخدريرضي الله عنه، قال: قال لي: إني اراك تحب الغنم وتتخذها فاصلحها واصلح رعامها فإني، سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول:" ياتي على الناس زمان تكون الغنم فيه خير مال المسلم يتبع بها شعف الجبال او سعف الجبال في مواقع القطر يفر بدينه من الفتن".
Narrated Sasaa: Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri said to me, "I notice that you like sheep and you keep them; so take care of them and their food, for I have heard Allah's Apostle saying, 'A time will come upon the people when the best of a Muslim's property will be sheep, which he will take to the tops of mountains and to the places of rain-falls to run away with his religion in order to save it from afflictions.' "

Hadith Number: 6495
حدثنا ابو نعيم، حدثنا الماجشون، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي صعصعة، عن ابيه، عن ابي سعيد الخدري، انه سمعه يقول: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول:" ياتي على الناس زمان خير مال الرجل المسلم الغنم يتبع بها شعف الجبال، ومواقع القطر يفر بدينه من الفتن".
Narrated Abu Sa`id: I heard from the Prophet saying, "There will come a time upon the people when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take to the tops of mountains and to the places of rainfall, run away with his religion (in order to save it) from afflictions."

حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف، اخبرنا مالك، عن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن ابي صعصعة، عن ابيه، عن ابي سعيد الخدري رضي الله عنه، انه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" يوشك ان يكون خير مال المسلم غنم يتبع بها شعف الجبال، ومواقع القطر يفر بدينه من الفتن".
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Allah's Apostle said, "There will come a time when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take to the tops of mountains and the places of rainfall so as to flee with his religion from the afflictions.
