The Book of Tauhid (Islamic Monotheism)
باب ما جاء فى قول الله تعالى: {إن رحمة الله قريب من المحسنين} :
(25) Chapter. What is said regarding the Statement of Allah:“... Surely, Allah’s Mercy is (ever) near unto the good-doers.”(V.7:56)
Hadith Number: 7449
حدثنا عبيد الله بن سعد بن إبراهيم، حدثنا يعقوب، حدثنا ابي، عن صالح بن كيسان، عن الاعرج، عن ابي هريرة، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" اختصمت الجنة والنار إلى ربهما، فقالت الجنة: يا رب، ما لها لا يدخلها إلا ضعفاء الناس وسقطهم، وقالت النار: يعني اوثرت بالمتكبرين، فقال الله تعالى للجنة: انت رحمتي، وقال للنار: انت عذابي، اصيب بك من اشاء ولكل واحدة منكما ملؤها، قال: فاما الجنة فإن الله لا يظلم من خلقه احدا وإنه ينشئ للنار من يشاء، فيلقون فيها، فتقول: هل من مزيد سورة ق آية 30 ثلاثا حتى يضع فيها قدمه، فتمتلئ ويرد بعضها إلى بعض وتقول: قط قط قط".
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Paradise and Hell (Fire) quarrelled in the presence of their Lord. Paradise said, 'O Lord! What is wrong with me that only the poor and humble people enter me ?' Hell (Fire) said, I have been favored with the arrogant people.' So Allah said to Paradise, 'You are My Mercy,' and said to Hell, 'You are My Punishment which I inflict upon whom I wish, and I shall fill both of you.'" The Prophet added, "As for Paradise, (it will be filled with good people) because Allah does not wrong any of His created things, and He creates for Hell (Fire) whomever He will, and they will be thrown into it, and it will say thrice, 'Is there any more, till Allah (will put) His Foot over it and it will become full and its sides will come close to each other and it will say, 'Qat! Qat! Qat! (Enough! Enough! Enough!) .

Hadith Number: 4849
حدثنا محمد بن موسى القطان، حدثنا ابو سفيان الحميري سعيد بن يحيى بن مهدي، حدثنا عوف، عن محمد، عن ابي هريرة، رفعه واكثر ما كان يوقفه ابو سفيان:" يقال لجهنم هل امتلات؟، وتقول: هل من مزيد؟، فيضع الرب تبارك وتعالى قدمه عليها، فتقول: قط قط".
Narrated Abu Huraira: (that the Prophet said) "It will be said to the Hell, 'Are you filled?' It will say, 'Are there any more (to come)?' On that Allah will put His Foot on it, and it will say 'Qati! Qati! (Enough! Enough!).

Hadith Number: 4850
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد، حدثنا عبد الرزاق، اخبرنا معمر، عن همام، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" تحاجت الجنة والنار، فقالت النار: اوثرت بالمتكبرين والمتجبرين، وقالت الجنة: ما لي لا يدخلني إلا ضعفاء الناس وسقطهم، قال الله تبارك وتعالى للجنة: انت رحمتي، ارحم بك من اشاء من عبادي، وقال للنار: إنما انت عذابي، اعذب بك من اشاء من عبادي، ولكل واحدة منهما ملؤها، فاما النار فلا تمتلئ حتى يضع رجله، فتقول: قط قط، فهنالك تمتلئ ويزوى بعضها إلى بعض، ولا يظلم الله عز وجل من خلقه احدا، واما الجنة، فإن الله عز وجل ينشئ لها خلقا".
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Paradise and the Fire (Hell) argued, and the Fire (Hell) said, "I have been given the privilege of receiving the arrogant and the tyrants.' Paradise said, 'What is the matter with me? Why do only the weak and the humble among the people enter me?' On that, Allah said to Paradise. 'You are My Mercy which I bestow on whoever I wish of my servants.' Then Allah said to the (Hell) Fire, 'You are my (means of) punishment by which I punish whoever I wish of my slaves. And each of you will have its fill.' As for the Fire (Hell), it will not be filled till Allah puts His Foot over it whereupon it will say, 'Qati! Qati!' At that time it will be filled, and its different parts will come closer to each other; and Allah will not wrong any of His created beings. As regards Paradise, Allah will create a new creation to fill it with."
