The Book of Pilgrimage
باب استحباب الطيب قبيل الإحرام في البدن واستحبا به بالمسك وانه لٓا باس ببقاء وبيصه وهو بريقة ولمعانه
Chapter: It is recommended to apply perfume just before entering Ihram, and it is recommended to use Musk, and it does not matter if its glistening traces remain

حدثنا محمد بن عباد ، اخبرنا سفيان ، عن الزهري ، عن عروة ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت: " طيبت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لحرمه حين احرم، ولحله قبل ان يطوف بالبيت ".
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) before he entered upon the state of lhram and (concluding) before circumambulating the (sacred) House.

وحدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة بن قعنب ، حدثنا افلح بن حميد ، عن القاسم بن محمد ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها زوج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قالت: " طيبت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بيدي لحرمه حين احرم، ولحله حين احل قبل ان يطوف بالبيت ".
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) before he entered upon the state of lhram and (concluding) before circumambulating the (sacred) House.

وحدثنا يحيى بن يحيى ، قال: قرات على مالك ، عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، انها قالت: " كنت اطيب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لإحرامه قبل ان يحرم، ولحله قبل ان يطوف بالبيت ".
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Apostle of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) , reported: I applied perfume to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) with my own hand before he entered upon the state of Ihram, and as he concluded it before-circumambulating the House (for Tawaf-i-lfada).

وحدثنا ابن نمير ، حدثنا ابي ، حدثنا عبيد الله بن عمر ، قال: سمعت القاسم ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت: " طيبت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لحله ولحرمه ".
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I used to apply perfume to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) before his entering upon the state of Ihram and at the conclusion of it, before circumambulating the House (for Tawf-i-Ifada).

وحدثني محمد بن حاتم ، وعبد بن حميد ، قال عبد: اخبرنا، قال ابن حاتم، حدثنا محمد بن بكر ، اخبرنا ابن جريج ، اخبرني عمر بن عبد الله بن عروة ، انه سمع عروة ، والقاسم يخبران، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت: " طيبت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بيدي بذريرة في حجة الوداع للحل والإحرام ".
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) said: I applied perfume of Dharira to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) with my hand (on the occasion of) the Farewell Pilgrimage on freeing from the state of Ihram and entering upon it.

وحدثنا ابو بكر بن ابي شيبة ، وزهير بن حرب جميعا، عن ابن عيينة ، قال زهير: حدثنا سفيان، حدثنا عثمان بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، قال: سالت عائشة رضي الله عنها باي شيء طيبت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عند حرمه؟، قالت: " باطيب الطيب ".
'Uthman bin 'Urwa reported on the authority of his father that he said: I asked 'A'isha with what thing she perfumed the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) at the time of entering upon the state of Ihram. She said: With the best of perfume.

وحدثناه ابو كريب حدثنا ابو اسامة ، عن هشام ، عن عثمان بن عروة ، قال: سمعت عروة يحدث، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، قالت: " كنت اطيب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم باطيب ما اقدر عليه قبل ان يحرم ثم يحرم ".
'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I applied the best perfume, which I could get, to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) before entering upon the state of Ihram (and after this) he put on the Ihram.

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: I applied the best available perfume I could find to the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) before he entered upon the state of Ihram and after he was free from it.
