Narrated by Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are three people to whom Allah will not look (with mercy) on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them (from their sins), and for them is a painful punishment." We asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who are these people? They are certainly at a loss and in ruin. He said: "The one who reminds others of his favors, the one who lets his lower garment hang below his ankles 1, and the one who promotes his merchandise by means of false oaths 2." Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- The hadith of Abu Dharr is Hasan Sahih (good and authentic),
2- In this chapter, there are also ahadith from Ibn Mas'ud, Abu Hurairah, Abu Umamah bin Tha'labah, Imran bin Husain, and Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with them).
