Muḥīṣah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for permission to take wages for cupping, but he forbade him from it. However, he kept asking and seeking permission until the Prophet said: "Spend it on your camel's fodder or feed your slave with it."

Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- The hadith of Muḥīṣah is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ.
2- In this chapter, hadiths have also been narrated from Rāfi‘ bin Khadīj, Juḥayfah, Jābir, and Sā’ib bin Yazīd.
3- Some people of knowledge act upon this.
4- Ahmad says: If any cupper asks me for wages, I will not give it, and I will present this very hadith as evidence.
