Narrated Ibn 'Umar: "The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) divided the spoils as two shares for the horse and one share for the man."

`Through this chain as well, a similar hadith is narrated from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) is Hasan Sahih.
2- In this chapter, ahadith have also been narrated from Majma' bin Jariyah, Ibn Abbas, and Abi Amrah (may Allah be pleased with them).
3- Most of the people of knowledge among the Companions and others act upon this; Sufyan Thawri, Awza'i, Malik bin Anas, Ibn Mubarak, Shafi'i, Ahmad, and Ishaq bin Rahwayh hold this view. They say that the mounted fighter will receive three shares: one share for himself and two shares for his horse, and the one who fights on foot will receive one share.
