باب مَا جَاءَ فِي سَجْدَةِ الشُّكْرِ
Chapter: Description of Prostration of Thanks upon Hearing News of Victory in Battle
Hadith Number: 1578
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى، حدثنا ابو عاصم، حدثنا بكار بن عبد العزيز بن ابي بكرة، عن ابيه، عن ابي بكرة، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اتاه امر فسر به، فخر لله ساجدا "، قال ابو عيسى: هذا حديث حسن غريب، لا نعرفه إلا من هذا الوجه من حديث بكار بن عبد العزيز، والعمل على هذا عند اكثر اهل العلم راوا سجدة الشكر، وبكار بن عبد العزيز بن ابي بكرة مقارب الحديث.
Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that a piece of news came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he was pleased by it, so he fell down in prostration before Allah.
Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is hasan ghareeb.
2- We know it only through this chain from the narration of Bukar bin Abdul Aziz.
3- Bukar bin Abdul Aziz bin Abi Bakrah is maqaarib al-hadith.
4- Most of the people of knowledge act upon this; they consider the prostration of gratitude to be valid.
