The Book on Drinks
باب مَا جَاءَ فِي النَّهْىِ عَنِ اخْتِنَاثِ الأَسْقِيَةِ،
Chapter: It is forbidden to drink facing the Qiblah.
Hadith Number: 1890
حدثنا قتيبة، حدثنا سفيان، عن الزهري، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله، عن ابي سعيد رواية انه " نهى عن اختناث الاسقية "، قال: وفي الباب عن جابر، وابن عباس، وابي هريرة، قال ابو عيسى: هذا حديث حسن صحيح.
It is narrated marfu‘an from Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that (the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking directly from the mouth of water skins 1. Imam Tirmidhi says:
1- This hadith is hasan sahih,
