Issues of Funeral Prayer
The body is consumed by earth in the grave
Hadith Number: 231
341- وبه: ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”كل ابن آدم تاكله الارض إلا عجب الذنب، منه خلق ومنه يركب.“
And with this chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every part of a human is consumed by the earth except the backbone; from it he was created and from it he will be resurrected."
