Shamail al-Tirmidhi
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي تَرَجُّلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Chapter: What has been reported concerning the combing of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
He (peace be upon him) Often Oiled His Hair
Hadith Number: 33
حدثنا يوسف بن عيسى قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الربيع بن صبيح، عن يزيد بن ابان هو الرقاشي، عن انس بن مالك قال: «كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يكثر دهن راسه وتسريح لحيته، ويكثر القناع حتى كان ثوبه ثوب زيات»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, he says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would often apply oil to his blessed head and comb his blessed beard, and he would frequently place a cloth on his blessed head, so his cloth would become oily just like the clothes of an oil user.
