بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي شَيْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Chapter: What has been reported concerning the gray hair of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
The Number of His White Hairs
Hadith Number: 38
حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور، ويحيى بن موسى، قالا: حدثنا عبد الرزاق [ص: 56]، عن معمر، عن ثابت، عن انس قال: «ما عددت في راس رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ولحيته إلا اربع عشرة شعرة بيضاء»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I counted only fourteen white hairs in the blessed head and blessed beard of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

Hadith Number: 39
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى قال: اخبرنا ابو داود قال: حدثنا شعبة، عن سماك بن حرب قال: سمعت جابر بن سمرة، وقد سئل عن شيب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: «كان إذا دهن راسه لم ير منه شيب، وإذا لم يدهن رئي منه»
It is narrated from Simak bin Harb (may Allah have mercy on him), he says: I heard from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), he was asked about the white hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) applied oil, his old age was not apparent, and when he did not apply oil, then some (white hair) could be seen from him.
