بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي صِفَةِ إِدَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Chapter: What has been reported concerning the condiment of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
Tearing meat with teeth instead of a knife
Hadith Number: 166
حدثنا واصل بن عبد الاعلى قال: حدثنا محمد بن فضيل، عن ابي حيان التيمي، عن ابي زرعة، عن ابي هريرة قال: «اتي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بلحم فرفع إليه الذراع وكانت تعجبه فنهس منها»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: Some meat was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the foreleg (shank) was presented to him, and this part was very much liked by him, so he cut it with his teeth and ate it.
