How Lady Hajar (AS) stopped the Zamzam water
Numbering by, Al-Albani: 1669, Fiqh-based: ,3863
-" إن جبريل عليه السلام حين ركض زمزم بعقبه جعلت ام إسماعيل تجمع البطحاء، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: رحم الله هاجرا ام إسماعيل، لو تركتها كانت عينا معينا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Jibreel (peace be upon him) pressed his heel to bring forth the water of Zamzam, the mother of Isma'il (peace be upon him) began to gather it by making a basin in the wide valley." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on Umm Isma'il, Hajar. If she had left the water (as it was), it would have become a flowing spring."
