Introduction
باب مَنْ كَرِهَ أَنْ يُمِلَّ النَّاسَ:
Chapter: Dislike of Boring People
Hadith Number: 461
اخبرنا اخبرنا عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث، حدثنا شعبة، عن ابي إسحاق، عن ابي الاحوص، عن عبد الله، قال: "لا تملوا الناس".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Do not cause hardship to the people.

اخبرنا اخبرنا يزيد بن هارون، اخبرنا اشعث، عن كردوس، عن عبد الله رضي الله عنه، قال: "إن للقلوب لنشاطا وإقبالا، وإن لها تولية وإدبارا، فحدثوا الناس ما اقبلوا عليكم".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: People experience times of joy and eagerness, and also times of indifference and weariness, so narrate hadith to people when they are attentive to you (i.e., when they are eager and lively).

Hadith Number: 463
اخبرنا سليمان بن حرب، حدثنا ابو هلال، قال: سمعت الحسن يقول: كان يقال: "حدث القوم ما اقبلوا عليك بوجوههم، فإذا التفتوا، فاعلم ان لهم حاجات".
Abu Hilal al-Rasi said: I heard Imam Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him, say: It is said that narrate hadith to people when they are attentively inclined towards you, and if they turn here and there, then understand that they have some needs (i.e., they are not fully attentive for listening to hadith).
