Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I was informed that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that the prayer of a person who prays sitting is half the prayer. Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (and saw) that he was praying while sitting. I said: O Messenger of Allah! I have been informed that you said: The prayer of a person who prays sitting is half the prayer, and you yourself are praying sitting? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes (I said so), but I am not like any one of you" (that is, my case is different from yours).
