باب مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِداً:
Chapter: Building a mosque for Allah
Hadith Number: 1430
حدثنا ابو عاصم، عن عبد الحميد بن جعفر، حدثني ابي، عن محمود بن لبيد، ان عثمان لما اراد ان يبني المسجد كره الناس ذلك، فقال عثمان: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: "من بنى لله مسجدا، بنى الله له في الجنة مثله".
It is narrated from Mahmood bin Labeed that when Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to build a mosque, the people disliked it. Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise."
