Sayyiduna Qais bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went to Hira (a city near Kufa) and saw that the people there prostrate to their leader. (Upon returning) I said: O Messenger of Allah! Should we not prostrate to you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands because of the right that Allah Almighty has ordained for men over women.

Abu Buraydah narrated, his father said: A Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to prostrate to you?
