باب مَا يُسْتَحَبُّ الإِفْطَارُ عَلَيْهِ:
Chapter: What Is Recommended to Break the Fast With
Hadith Number: 1739
اخبرنا ابو النعمان، حدثنا ثابت بن يزيد، حدثنا عاصم، عن حفصة، عن الرباب الضبية، عن عمها سلمان بن عامر، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "إذا افطر احدكم، فليفطر على تمر، فإن لم يجد، فليفطر على ماء، فإن الماء طهور".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you breaks his fast, he should break it with dates; if he does not find dates, then with pure water, for water is pure."
