باب الْعُقُوبَةِ في شُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ:
Chapter: Punishment for Drinking Alcohol
Hadith Number: 2142
حدثنا عاصم بن علي، حدثنا ابن ابي ذئب، عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن، عن ابي سلمة، عن ابي هريرة، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إذا سكر، فاجلدوه، ثم إذا سكر، فاجلدوه، ثم إذا سكر، فاجلدوه، ثم إذا سكر، فاضربوا عنقه". يعني في الرابعة.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When someone becomes intoxicated, flog him. Then if he does it again, flog him. Then if he drinks alcohol, flog him. If he drinks alcohol a fourth time, then kill him."
