باب الْقَسَمُ يَمِينٌ:
Chapter: Swearing an Oath
Hadith Number: 2381
اخبرنا عبد الله بن صالح، حدثني الليث، حدثني يونس، عن ابن شهاب، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله، عن ابن عباس: ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال لابي بكر:"لا تقسم". قال ابو محمد: الحديث فيه طول.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him): "Do not swear an oath." Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This is a lengthy hadith.
